It’s more expensive than ever to go to college and harder to find a job once you spend yourself into debt for that higher education. The system seems fundamentally broken. Can it be fixed and is there a better way for kids to approach the pricey world of higher education?
Those are questions that documentary filmmaker Andrew Rossi asks in his new film, The Ivory Tower. The movie premiered at Sundance this week and will air on CNN later this year. Rossi is probably best known for his 2011 filmPage One: Inside the New York Times. That movie chronicled the disruption of the media industry as the New York Times struggled to adapt to a changing world of free news and disrespectful upstarts. Rossi, who went to college at Yale, saw a similar disruption taking place in the world of higher education.
