Starting Monday, February 10, the duo will host an 11 a.m. program, a move that will send the current occupant of that slot, Ashleigh Banfield, to noon. Berman and Pereira will continue their other duties on the Time Warner-owned cable-news network, continuing to hold forth on “Early Start” at 5 a.m. and New Day at 6 a.m., respectively
Wolf Blitzer will continue to anchor the 1 p.m. hour, “Wolf,” with a focus on politics, breaking news and international news. He will also continue to anchor “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer” weekdays from 5 – 6:30 p.m. Carol Costello will continue to anchor 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Brooke Baldwin will continue to anchor 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Suzanne Malveaux and Michael Holmes, who had been anchoring the noon hour, are being given new assignments. Malveaux, a CNN veteran, will become CNN”s national correspondent covering politics, national news, and international current events, relocating to Washington. D.C. Holmes will return full-time to CNN International and continue to anchor “International Desk,” which airs weekdays at 10 a.m.
