Evangelical Christian minister Tim LaHaye says that the policy initiatives put forth by the Obama administration are bringing the country "closer to the apocalypse."
LaHaye issued the dire warning in an appearance this week on Mike Huckabee's talk show on Fox News.
"Our present president doesn't seem to get it," LaHaye explained. "He doesn't understand that some of the things he's introducing that many of us call 'raw socialism' -- it's a different name, but it's essentially government control and government domination of everything."
The evangelical voice said of the political platform maintained by the Obama administration, "It's going to work against our country and bringing us closer to the apocalypse."
Huckabee went on to prod LaHaye a bit further on his assertion. "Are we now living in the end times, from your perspective?" asked the former Arkansas Governor and possible 2012 White House contender.
LaHaye's response: "Very definitely, governor."

I never recognized LaHaye as a legitimate eschatologist, and this only further confirms.
Does LaHaye know what an apocalypse is? Look it up! If Obama is bringing us closer to it, we should rejoice, because that's when justice comes to earth with the kingdom of God.
Some of these evangelicals wouldn't know justice if it was staring them in the face.
Individuals such as Lahaye and Warren are excellent examples of why you should choose carefully who you chose to follow. It really makes me pay attention to the individuals who affiliate themselves with these individuals. Who in there right mind would believe that policy initiatives would bring us closer to the apocalypse. If we didn't happen with the Bushes and Chaney in office, I think we might have a fighting chance at survival.
Please take this so-called prophecy with a grand of salt.
Tim Lahaye can't say what he really want to say, and that is, with a Black president in the WH this world is REALLY coming to end.
I'm so looking forward to Jesus's return; however, there are many people who are hearing, and unfortunately, believing a false gospel due to President Obama. These people will die in THE SIN. The Sin of not accepting Christ as Lord and Savior. Yes, Christ is coming back, but I'd hate to think the first black President (against Christ) was a major contributor to Satan's deeds. Say what you want about Bush, but he never proclaimed a false gospel. Scripture says from the heart, the mouth speaks. Obama has spoken that there are many ways to God, that Christ is not the only way, and that Christians should stop telling people this. Bush has stated Jesus Christ is the Lord of his life. (Obama did too, but the other things he said, don't go along with Christ being the Lord of His life.) Check out Bush's testimony. Check out how he made Christ his personal Savior. Do the research. Again, out of the heart, the mouth speaks. The two have spoken.
Supporting Obama is standing up against Christ. It will only cause you more harm than good. If not in this life, in the life to come.
May God bless each of you with truth.
Ahem and Really, I sure hope you are the same person. I'd hate to think there were two of you who'd stand up for an anti-Christ. The Bible speaks truth.
I don't think that Ahem would recognize a true eschatology student if they met one. Anyone who cannot see the anti-Christ spirit that inhabits this President's agenda I would have to doubt that person has the Spirit of the Living God dwelling within them.
It has nothing to do with the President's color and everything to do with his godless agenda! Obama is a globalist as affirmed by his being the first U.S. President to Chair the UN Security Council which contradicts section 9 of the Constitution:
"No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State."
Anyone who has studied Biblical prophecy knows the leaders of the anti-Christ system during the end times will usher in a one world globalist government.
Just google "Obama and globalism", just for yucks-and read what the President himself says about the way he would see the world shaped. Read the speech he gave in Germany while still on the campaign trail-it gives a pretty detailed look at his worldview.
Open your eyes, see past his color and his party!
If you are a champion of globalist ideas you are in fact working to bring about the conditions that the Holy Bible says will exist prior to the War of Armageddon. Ergo your policies hasten the coming apokalupsis eschaton, the revelation of the end of the eon-the end of the age!
Above all, read what Obama said about Christ. He said Christ is not the only way to God. Before he became President, you could actually view what he said. It was live on youtube for all to see. But, it's been taken off. Satan and/or the Obama Administration has somehow had those videos removed/censored. They were causing too many people to say Obama was an anti-Christ. Removing it didn't really matter, however. True Christians know from Obama's godless views/policies that he's anti-Christ. People who just go to church to have something to do will have much difficulty distinguishing anti-Christians/Christs from true Christians and Christ, Himself. Anti-Christs call good evil and evil good. They are great deceivers like Satan, the father of all deceivers.
Judges 2: 10 Eventually that entire generation died and was buried. Then another generation grew up that didn't know anything of God
Sound familiar?
