Evangelist Benny Hinn is speaking out about his wife's recent divorce announcement.
On Thursday, Hinn posted a three-page statement to his partners explaining that his wife Suzanne has no 'biblical grounds for divorce."
"I also want you, my very dear partner, to know that there was absolutely no immorality involved in my life or in Suzanne's, ever," Hinn tells his partners in the statement. "We both kept our lives clean and were totally committed to each other for 30 years of marriage."
Suzanne Hinn filed the papers in Orange County, Calif. on Feb. 1 citing irreconcilable differences. The papers noted that the two separated on Jan. 26. Hinn insists his wife's recent action was a complete shock to the family.
"Suzanne never gave the family even a hint that this was on her mind," he said. "Even to this moment, the children and I don't know why she did it."
The evangelist continues to ask his supporters for prayer for his family's healing. He says that any pending divorce will not stop him from fulfilling his call to ministry.
"I want you, as my partner in this ministry, to know that I am going to continue preaching the Gospel and praying for the sick as I have for 36 years. I will not allow anything to slow me down or stop me," he said.

Benny and Suzanne Hinn married in 1979 and have three daughters and a son. Hinn's healing and evangelistic ministry has spanned the globe for more than 30 years, including Holy Spirit Miracle Crusades, ministry training conferences,TV broadcasts, and more.
Ministry officials said they covet the prayers and continued support of Pastor Hinn and his family as they walk through this difficult season.

He needs to take time off to try to reconcile his marraige. This is very sad. When will these ministers learn that their job is not the most important thing in life.. Hinn says this was a total shock to him and his family. That's Bull!! These things just don't happen. The worst part of all this is the thousands and thousands of people who will justify their own divorce because this "man of God" did it. This is shamful! Mr. Hinn, get out of the pulpit, go home, get things right and be an example!

You that call yourselves Pastors should not be so quick to put down other ministers just because they are getting divorced. You speak like you have the antidote for healing marriages. It seems like all Mr. Brantley can do is promote himself as a "cure-all" for troubled marriages while "Pastor Shawn" thinks that there are things more important than his ministry and call to Christ. That's what is REALLY the BULL, sir!
For whatever reason, Pastor Hinn and his wife are getting a divorce (which is no sin, by the way). Why should he stop preaching? Is it because his wife decided to part ways with him? If your wife filed divorce papers to get away from YOU, would YOU stop preaching and teaching?
Think about this before you open your mouths to blast other ministry leaders. Marriage is a part of a person's destiny. However, it does not define that person's life as a whole.

To the Anonymous, I am of myself not a cure all. I am still married by the grace of God. Secondly, expect for adultery is one given the authority to divorce (Matthew 5:31,32). This is God’s teaching and not mine.
Where you know or not but Hebrews 13:7 and 1 Peter 3:8 and 1 Timothy 3:2 all talk about the importance of and power of staying married.
Bro or Sister anonymous, I pray you take my words in love. The key is that we have a list of divorces in our church. Divorce is even higher in the church than in the world.
We can not justify divorce. Malachi 2 says that God hates divorce. We can not keep dancing around it.
Again, I do not think I am better because I am not. I am married because of the grace and love of my God and wife. Yet the trumpet must still be sounded that divorce from Christians must be avoided in any way because we represent marriage. Remember God created marriage. If we are the oracle of God (1 Peter 4:11), men and women of God should be first partakers and keepers of the marriage institution.
I only promote my website because the body of Christ needs help. As anyone would advertise a new product, I promote what God has brought my wife and I through to help others. We have many instructors but not many fathers (1 Corinthians 4:15. I am just trying to be a father to men especially, who have no cue what it takes to stay married hence the rise to so many divorces in the body of Christ. The order is God, Family and Church. That is Bible.

Who cares if he gets divorced or not
You don't, that clear.
Divorce might not be sin, but who and/or what caused it is. Adultery, for instance. One person in this marriage just might be innocent. Who knows? We'll never know unless Benny Hinn and/or his wife tells us why they're divorcing.
And, yes, I'm someone who cares. I love those who divorce, but I hate divorces. If we are in Christ, we all will hate divorce, as He does. How can one call him/herself a Christian and not care?

It's just that I've been there and done that. Tried to promote my work, I mean. It takes one to know one. I'm no longer there, thank God.

Why, is the question? Let’s see what the Mrs has to say. I hope and pray that she will reconsider this decision and ask for the mantle of Ruth Bell Graham or Coretta Scott King. These women understood the priesthood ministry and the sacrifice that goes with it. Yes I hope that Benny has given her personal attention, but the ministry does come first according to the Apostle Paul. He wrote, ‘it is time that they that are married be as though they are not.’ Why, for the saving of souls. The first to voice this was Jesus, when he sent his disciples into the world and told them that, ‘he that looks back is not worthy of the Kingdom. Let the dead bury their dead.’ If I may interpret him, go preach the gospel at any cost. Benny Hinn should work on his marriage, but never lose souls in the process. Let us pray that God will heal the Mrs of whatever it is. One more thing, the people that stood by, said of Jesus, he saved others but himself he can’t save. You out here on this blog, sometimes we cant save ourselves, but we better fulfill God mission.
How do you know Benny Hinn isn't a wolf in sheep's clothing? Maybe the Ms. knows something the rest of us don't. We shouldn't pick on her when you don't know the facts. Only the Mr. and Mrs. know the facts at this point.
I personally know of a pastors wife whose husband was unfaithful (I'm not saying this is the case here. I don't know), but in this particular marriage, the wife was the one who truly loved God, not the husband. Sure, he could preach, but he could also play around. He was only putting on a show. Believe me, it will all come out in the wash one day. But until then, we shouldn't come to any conclusions about the Mrs and Mr. unless we have all the facts.

Thank God the truth is coming out even in such a painful way as this. I should know, my wife left me and 3 kids after 16 years and I was just as responsible for it as she (and there where no cheating) and we are conservative Christians. Benny - time to pay buddy! Your bull shit is bringing in the harvest, Suzanne - tell the truth, save your soul from torment and set your family free from lies you all lived these years.
