WATCH: Homosexual Curriculum in California Schools Sparks Lawsuit

A lawsuit has been filed by a group of angry parents against a California school district over a gay-friendly curriculum.

Now, the case could have national implications.

Parents who oppose the Alameda Unified School District's pro-homosexual curriculum recently filed a lawsuit against the school district -- saying they are concerned about indoctrination in the schools.

The lessons include a set of six 45-minute teachings on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered lifestyles, and will be taught once a year to students in grades K-5.

Course materials include a children's book called "And Tango Makes Three" about homosexual penguins trying to create a family.

Administrators say the course is needed to protect against sexual discrimination and that the lessons are protected by laws in California and 10 other states.

CBN News spoke with Brad Dacus of the Pacific Justice Institute about the impact the case could have on other school districts.

"If this school district is successful in implementing this program and not allowing parents to opt their children out, this will be a strong encouragement for school districts not only throughout California but throughout the rest of the country to try to do the same thing ," he said.  "It would also possibly encourage other states to adopt other anti-family, pro-homosexual indoctrination programs in public schools."

Parents in the district were refused the right to opt their kids out of the classes that would teach all kids in elementary schools about gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender alternative families.

Pastor Dion Evans is one of many speaking out against the curriculum.

"If in defiance of sound reasoning and fairness to all students and parents this curriculum is adopted tonight it will cause a strong reaction," he said.  "Instead of bringing us together and healing divisions, it will cause even greater division, alienation and suspicion."

The school district did not respond requests from CBN News for an interview.

MIND Over glands

The defenders of homosexuality continue the oxymoron
contradiction of attempting to use the mind to justify the
rule of carnal glands.

Thinking Americans still don't give 'a tinkers-sham' what
homosexuals do with their body-parts. An individual or
a society which is by law and tradition committed to the
natural human hierarchy of mind over body will not, how-
ever, ever sanction glandular rule over the human mind.

Undisciplined human desire can induce distorted perception.
The disturbed personality or inverted character can be
considered to be cognitively confused. This description is
confirmed by the work of English psychoanalyst Money-
Kyrle, who indicates that it is more accurate to recognize
such a condition as the result of distorted perception.

Neurosis, psychosis, stunting of growth, etc., are all, from
this perspective, cognitive diseases contaminating not only
perception but thinking, learning, remembering, valuing, and
decision- and choice-making.

Money-Kyrle affirms that scientific truth is not attained by a
trendy self-serving fashion, confession of inadequacy,
abdication, or collective majority-vote. There is no excuse for
professional ignorance willfully maintained.

By definition, a standard that is flexible is not a standard at all.
The human mind requires a standard of comparison that is
invariable. A criterion must be greater than the value measured
in order to supply value-meaning in a predictable direction of
survival and progression. The mind thus equipped is enabled
to maintain a natural dominion over the body and its appetites.
The very survival of the body itself, therefore, depends upon this
maintained intellectual authority. Romans 8:6

Our posterity cannot respect what it does not perceive, and it
cannot perceive that which has been abandoned or inverted to
an appetite of physical expediency by the equivocal person.

With confidence in the laws of human nature, we can know that
in the clash between carnality and intellect, the 'man of the mind'
will always prevail.

That is nature and GOD's way and intent all along.

"No one is smarter than their criteria." selah jfb

I love gay people. They are gay, and they are PEOPLE. PEOPLE deserve rights. CHRISTIANS are people. CHRISTIANS deserve rights. GAY PEOPLE can be CHRISTIANS. CHRISTIANS can be GAY. Read it and weep.

If you, as a Christian, American, or just as a person, want to be treated with respect, tolerance, understanding, and most of all, love -- you have to offer the same thing to your fellow man. Gay or not.

God Bless America. Or more appropriately, God save us all from the hypocrisy of prejudice.
