Robert A. Schuller's 'Hour of Power' Dropped from 25 TV Stations

| No Comments | No TrackBacks Hour of Power television ministry will drop from 25 stations across the country as a result of its reported financial trouble.


"This shift will help the Hour of Power save about $1.5 million," spokesman Michael Nason said.

The ministry has already begun to cancel half-hour versions of the show on local stations where the viewing audience has diminished.

However, the Hour of Power will remain in one hour format on cable networks such as the Trinity Broadcasting Network, Daystar, and Lifetime.

The show -- created by Pastor Robert A. Schuller and Crystal Cathedral in Southern California -- reported a 30 percent dip in income since January. of Crystal Cathedral Jim Penner said financial reports from 2008 show that income decreased 19.7 percent between 2007 and 2008.

The Crystal Cathedral's debt troubles forced them to layoff members of the pastoral staff and put properties up for sale in January.
