100 Days of Trump – 100 Days of Prayer

170427 blog image

Many people who voted for President Trump agree that he is delivering on his promises.   When I voted for President Trump, I lifted up a prayer asking God to guide our President and to heal our nation. I have not regretted my vote or our prayers for his success throughout his 100 days.

Throughout his First 100 Days President Trump has taken dramatic steps to undo burdensome regulations, restore law and order, bolster our military, revive the American dream, change Washington by holding it accountable, put the American worker first and confirm Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch.

According to a new ABC News/Washington Post poll, an incredible 96% of us who supported the President in November say we would do it again today.

Added to his proactive agenda, President Trump has enacted more legislation and signed more executive orders in the First 100 days than any president in half a century.

Our POTUS has removed more job-killing regulations through legislation than any president in U.S. history.  Consequently he has boosted job creation and economic optimism has been renewed, with consumer confidence reaching its highest level in 16 years.

As a Christian African American woman who is 50+ years of age who is also a concerned mother and grandmother, I am grateful to say that President Trump has allayed many of my concerns, and those of my constituency. Just to name a few of the POTUS improvements:

  • Helping Women/Minorities by Minimizing Affordable Care Act
  • The Historically Black Colleges and Universities Initiative
  • Appointment of Dr. Ben Carson as HUD Secretary
  • Canada-United States Council for the Advancement of Women Entrepreneurs
  • Promoting Women in Entrepreneurship Act
  • Promoting Programs to Engage Women in STEM Fields
  • Challenge to Planned Parenthood to Stop Abortions and help heal Americans not kill them

Once again there is hope for the people of America as our POTUS continues “thinking big about exploration and discovery again; protecting the farmers and ranchers that feed our country, and reasserting American power on the world stage.”

Members of the POTUS Cabinet will continue to reach out beyond the beltway, responding to the concerns of the people and spreading President Trump’s message across the country. There is promise of a 100 Days webpage where the White House will be producing graphics, videos, and other digital content for the President’s online constituents to share.

“The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Savior God wants us to live.” 1 Timothy 2:1-3 MSG

The prayer network will continue. God bless America.

Fr. Pavone Invites Democratic Cast-Offs to Switch Sides

priests_for_life_logo_transparent

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: April 26, 2017

Contact: Leslie Palma
347-286-7277

NEW YORK — Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, is inviting pro-life Democrats who are no longer welcome in their party to cross the aisle.

“When DNC Chair Tom Perez issued a statement saying ‘Every Democrat, like every American, should support a woman’s right to make her own choices about her body and her health,’ he was overlooking the 28 percent of Democrats who, in a Pew Research poll from last year, said they would like to see abortion illegal in all or most cases.

“Perez, and all Democratic public officials who support child-killing, are hypocrites on many levels, because they are unwilling to describe the very procedure they support. I want to hear Mr. Perez quote the medical textbooks on abortion as they describe the tearing off of the arms and legs of a baby and the crushing of her head. Then the debate can begin.

“Meanwhile, what are those pro-life Democrats to do, trapped in a party that clearly doesn’t want them? Some work to change the party. But if the party doesn’t listen, switch parties! Thanks to pro-life election victories last November, the pro-life movement is poised to make real strides toward abolishing abortion in our lifetime. Anyone who wants to work with us is welcome – regardless of party affiliation!”

Here is Perez’s full statement on abortion and the Democrats:

“Democrats trust women to make their own decisions. Every Democrat, like every American, should support a woman’s right to make her own choices about her body and her health. That is not negotiable and should not change city by city or state by state. That is why I will be convening women leaders from across the country in the next week on how we can make sure our Democratic candidates and elected leaders are living up to these fundamental values.

“Whatever one’s personal beliefs about choice, no government should legislate them onto others. That is a fundamental principle Democrats of all backgrounds have always fought for, and we will continue to do so at local and national levels. At a time when women’s rights are under assault from the White House, the Republican Congress, and in states across the country, we must speak up for this principle as loudly as ever and with one voice.

“I fundamentally disagree with Heath Mello’s personal beliefs about women’s reproductive health. It is a promising step that Mello now shares the Democratic Party’s position on women’s fundamental rights. Every candidate who runs as a Democrat should do the same, because every woman should be able to make her own health choices. Period.”

Priests for Life Begins Public Awareness Campaign on Third Trimester Abortion

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

347-286-7277

Father Imbarrato to Speak at New Mexico press conference Wednesday

This week Priests for Life launches a public education and advocacy campaign focused on late term abortion, consistent with the message we have always conveyed that we educate people by starting with what is most obvious and leading to what is less obvious — and to those confused about where they stand on abortion, the most obvious place to start is with third-trimester abortions.
Priests for Life associate Father Stephen Imbarrato will talk about the reality of third-trimester abortion at a press conference set for 9:30 a.m. MST Wednesday, April 19 at the University of New Mexico’s Hodgins Hall in Albuquerque.

The press conference was organized by Rep. Steve Pearce (R-N.M.) to urge New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas to follow up on possible criminal activity at the University of New Mexico and Southwestern Women’s Options, an abortion business.

Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) also will address the media at the press conference. Ms. Blackburn chaired the House Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives, whose report raised serious ethical and legal questions about the relationship between the university and the abortion business.

The panel sent two criminal referrals to Balderas but his office has taken no action yet.

“The fact that babies’ bodies are being dissected and their parts sold is horrific and needs to be discussed out loud and criminally prosecuted,” Father Imbarrato said. “But my purpose at this press conference is simply to make sure everyone knows that third-trimester abortions are taking place in New Mexico and they are not being done to save the life of the mother or because of serious illness in the babies, as the abortion lobby would have us believe.

“Healthy mothers are aborting fully viable healthy babies, and this must stop.”

Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, noted, “Most people do not even know that third-trimester abortions are permitted in America, and that the effort to stop them mobilizes not only pro-life people, but also those who identify themselves as pro-choice. The United States is one of only a handful of countries that allow babies to be killed through all nine months of pregnancy.”

Two recent cases illustrate the problem.

In January 2015, the mother and uncle of a young woman in Great Britain contacted Priests for Life to ask for help in dissuading the woman from aborting her 30-week baby at Southwestern Women’s Options. Despite the intervention of Father Imbarrato and other pro-lifers, the baby was killed by a shot of digoxin to the heart and delivered stillborn days later.

In March 2016, a 16-year-old girl made arrangements to travel from her home in Waco, Texas, to Albuquerque to abort her twin daughters, who were 34-36 weeks in gestational age. She met with Southwestern abortionist Susan Robinson on April 5 and was assured the $21,000 abortion was her best option and would begin that day. But pro-lifers in Waco kept in touch with her and she decided to delay for a day. By the next day, she had changed her mind and went home to Texas. Her healthy baby girls were born April 9, 2016.

In an undercover phone call commissioned by Priests for Life and made a few days ago to Southwestern Women’s Options, a late-term abortion mill owned and operated by Curtis Boyd and located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, it was clear that Boyd was willing to kill a Down Syndrome baby at 33 weeks of pregnancy.

“Even people who consider themselves pro-choice should be outraged at the crimes against humanity taking place in our state,” Father Imbarrato said. “Certainly we can sympathize with the plight of a pregnant teenager but there is always a better option than an appointment at Southwest Women’s Options or any other abortion business.”

Because He Lives: Abundant Life Is A Gift

170413 blog image

Sunday is Resurrection Day, aka Easter. As we celebrate the blessings of our Lord, Jesus Christ, His sacrifice on Calvary’s Cross, dissension into Hell where he victoriously conquered Satan and ascension into Heaven as our High Priest, let’s rejoice and be glad!

Around the world Easter is still linked to pagan fertility customs, including the Easter Bunny, Easter egg hunts, and a time for family gatherings. Yet there’s so much more.

Since the Fall of Adam and Eve and consequent sin sickness, we’ve needed rescue. Jesus (God’s Son, the “new Adam”) was born to die on the cross and then rise three days later after conquering death. His death and life assured all humanity of eternal life.

None of this would have been possible if not for Mary the Virgin’s “yes” to GOD and “yes” in the miraculous conception and birth of Christ. If she had said no then there would be no salvation, no eternal life, no Easter. Thank God we don’t have to imagine that!

This Easter we need to pray for America. We need to pray that parents all over the world will love their children, born and unborn, and trust in God’s good graces for abundant life.

Join Emmanuel Boose and me on “Changing Your Community” broadcast on Urban Family Talk Radio for this week’s Easter broadcast HERE

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”. (John 3:16)

Fr. Pavone Says Confirmation of Judge Gorsuch is “Exhibit A” in Showing Why Social Conservatives Need to Vote

priests_for_life_logo_transparent

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 7, 2017

347-286-7277

Staten Island, NY – Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, today hailed the Senate’s vote to confirm Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court.

“Judge Gorsuch’s confirmation is Exhibit A for the argument that advocates for life and religious liberty need to vote,” said Fr. Pavone. “Without the active participation of social conservatives in last year’s elections, today we would be looking at a Supreme Court dominated by extreme pro-abortion justices. Instead, there’s great hope for the future.”

The Senate has confirmed federal appeals court Judge Neil Gorsuch to fill the seat of the late Justice Antonin Scalia, who died over a year ago. It’s expected that Judge Gorsuch will be sworn in over the weekend and take his seat on the Supreme Court in time to join his new colleagues in deciding which cases the court will hear in the near future.

“Congratulations to Judge Gorsuch, who this weekend will become Justice Gorsuch,” said Fr. Pavone. “His confirmation is a victory for constitutional rule, for life, for religious liberty, and for all of us who hold them dear.

“And it is just the first step in moving all the courts away from the judicial activism that has mangled the bodies of unborn children, the fabric of our morals, and the rule of law. This confirmation should motivate us to work hard for pro-life candidates in the midterms, and to expand the pro-life majorities in the House and Senate.”

Evangelist Alveda King urges: “MLK’s Dream Needs Help from God.”

170404 blog image1

“I just want to do God’s will. And he’s allowed me to go to the mountain top. And I’ve looked over, and I’ve seen the Promised Land! I may not get there with you, but I want you to know tonight that we as a people will get to the Promised Land.” Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

“The world seems to have forgotten what Martin Luther King, Jr. knew; we need God’s help” said Evangelist Alveda King, Director of Civil Rights for the Unborn for Priests for Life and niece of MLK. “Pray for President Trump, America, and the World. We must return to God.”

Yesterday, in the midst of planning to honor the MLK DREAM with a new Initiative, the Christian Evangelist woke up to the news that Reba McEntire and Lauren Daigle sang ‘Back to God’ at the 2017 ACM Awards. Evangelist King agrees that “as people of One Blood, we must repent, Pray and Unite. “Back to God’ was just the right direction for the times.

170404 blog image2“Today, April 4, 2017 marks the 49th Anniversary of the death of my Uncle. It is fitting therefore to call for the initial “A Time of Love and Reconciliation” which is being read by talk radio hosts of all political leanings drawing attention to H.R. 194 (110th), a resolution passed by the U.S. House of Representatives on July 29, 2008 that “apologize[d] to African Americans on behalf of the people of the United States, for the wrongs committed against them and their ancestors who suffered under slavery and Jim Crow” and “express[ed] its commitment to rectify the lingering consequences of the misdeeds committed against African Americans under slavery and Jim Crow and to stop the occurrence of human rights violations in the future.”

It’s an appropriate tribute to MLK’s 49th anniversary of his life and legacy. If he were here today, I believe he would agree with Ted Hays, leader of Heal America Collaborative, Reba and Lauren, and yes, me, and prayerfully lead people everywhere to return back to God,” urges Evangelist King.

“In the midst of life’s challenges; racism, war, poverty, human trafficking, abortion violence and evil of every kind; in order to escape the abyss, we need help from God to fulfill Uncle M. L.’s dream today! On this MLK Anniversary, as we join activist Ted Hayes with the launch of A Time of Love and Reconciliation,” God’s Word – “Return to Me” – is resonating across the atmospheres; reaching into the darkness and awakening a heavenly fire and light that cannot and will not be denied.

I’m honored to have my new book from Elijah List added to the cause; “AMERICA RETURN TO GOD” in proclaiming the very same message. If the Dream of my Uncle Martin Luther King, Jr. is to be fully received, we must return to, we must come back to God.

“My wayward children,” says the LORD, “come back to me, and I will heal your wayward hearts.”

Following Committee Vote, Fr. Pavone Urges Senate to Approve Judge Gorsuch This Week

priests_for_life_logo_transparent

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: April 3, 2017

Contact: Leslie Palma
347-286-7277

NEW YORK – Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, today applauded the Senate Judiciary Committee’s vote to recommend Judge Neil Gorsuch to the full Senate for confirmation to the Supreme Court.

“With the Committee’s vote, Senate Democrats face a dilemma of their own making,” said Fr. Pavone. “Do they do the right thing and vote to confirm Judge Gorsuch to the Supreme Court or do they force Speaker McConnell to invoke the Reid Rule, thereby reducing the votes required for a Supreme Court nominee from 60 to 51? Either way, Judge Gorsuch should be sitting on the Supreme Court next Monday morning.”

With the Judiciary Committee’s vote, Judge Gorsuch’s nomination now goes to the Senate floor. Minority Leader Charles Schumer has stated his intention to filibuster the nomination. Speaker Mitch McConnell has indicated, however, that he may use the Reid Rule to approve Judge Gorsuch this week. The Reid Rule, named after former Democratic Senate Leader Harry Reid, allows federal lower court judges and executive branch appointees to be confirmed by a majority vote. The Senate could vote this week to extend the rule to Supreme Court nominees.

“There’s no doubt that Judge Gorsuch is qualified,” added Fr. Pavone, “and there’s no doubt that were the roles reversed, Democrats would change the Senate rules to approve their activist liberal Supreme Court nominees by a majority vote. With the Supreme Court and our rights at stake for decades to come, the Senate must act decisively to approve Judge Gorsuch this week.”

Priests for Life has called people to action on this nomination through our regular action alert at www.StopAbortionNow.org, and through the appearance this week of our full-time priest associate, Fr. Stephen Imbarrato, on the Eternal Word Television Network.

Government’s Apology for Slavery and Jim Crowism Commemorated by Community Activists

SPACER
Activists, Talk Radio Hosts Participate in “A Time of Love & Reconciliation”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 31, 2017

Contact for interviews: Evangelist Alveda King – 470-244-3302 or [email protected]
Rev. CL Bryant – 318-458-1130 or [email protected]
Ted Hayes at 424-248-4219 or [email protected]

Los Angeles, CA – To promote racial healing, Evangelist Alveda King, Rev. CL Bryant, Ted Hayes & Mike Siegel join with community and Civil activists across the USA on Monday, April 3, 2017 – the eve of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King assassination anniversary. It will kick-off a year-long campaign aimed at drawing attention to the federal government’s largely unpublicized House Resolution HR 194 the acknowledgement of and apology for slavery and subsequent discriminatory policies. This campaign will conclude with A Time of Love & Reconciliation on April 4, 2018, the 50th Anniversary of Dr. King’s death.

“In 2008, Congress made history by officially apologizing for chattel slavery in the United States and the subsequent Jim Crowism that plagued black people after emancipation. Everyone knows about the poor treatment, but few know about the rare act of contrition by our government and its intention to heal our nation,” said community activist Ted Hayes, a key organizer of A Time of Love & Reconciliation. “In my own experience, people knowing that this apology happened goes a long way in changing the minds of people holding negative opinions about America because of its treatment of the black community.”

Hayes and others will work with talk radio and television personalities of all political leanings to draw attention to HR 194, a resolution passed by the U.S. House of Representatives on July 29, 2008 that “apologize[d] to African Americans on behalf of the people of the United States, for the wrongs committed against them and their ancestors who suffered under slavery and Jim Crow” and “expresse[d] its commitment to rectify the lingering consequences of the misdeeds committed against African Americans under slavery and Jim Crow and to stop the occurrence of human rights violations in the future” A similar resolution was passed by the U.S. Senate almost a year later.

Organizers are recruiting radio and television hosts to read the content and discuss the meaning of the congressional slavery apology with their audiences. Increased knowledge of the apology, organizers point out, can significantly change the dynamics in the national narrative of race relations.

This national acknowledgement of the apology and movement for healing was initiated by Hayes, a community activist, and talk radio hosts Mike Seigel and C.L. Bryant. They are joined by civil rights activist Reverend Dr. Alveda King, the niece of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Hayes said: “We are hoping this year-long campaign that begins on April 3 and culminates on the 50th anniversary of Dr. King’s departure from our earthly plane will provide us the opportunity to finally address the race matters in a more balanced, hopeful way. When I have personally enlightened people about the fact that the government has apologized and committed itself to working with the descendants of those who were once enslaved, it changes their perspective and helps our society heal.”

Talk radio hosts interested in participating in the April 3 reading of HR 194, or participating at a later date, are encouraged to contact Ted Hayes by phone at (424) 248-4219 or by email [email protected] The same contact information should be used for requesting surrogate guests.

NEW YORK — Evangelist Alveda King, full-time director of Civil Rights for the Unborn (the African-American Outreach of Priests for Life), will speak at a pro-life convention tomorrow on Long Island and will be a grand marshal for the International Gift of Life Walk Saturday in Manhattan.

The convention, called Bringing America Back to Life – New York, will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow at the Long Island Marriott in Uniondale. Ms. King is slated to speak at 4 p.m.

At the International Gift of Life Walk on Saturday, Ms. King will share grand marshal duties with Chris Slattery of Expectant Mother Care in Manhattan, and Timothy Jaccard of the AMT Children of Hope Foundation.

Participants will gather at 8 a.m. in Foley Square at Lafayette and Worth streets in lower Manhattan. At 9 a.m. the march will proceed from Foley Square to Stone Street and Broadway.

“We really do need to bring America back to life and I am especially happy to be able to proclaim that message in New York,” Ms. King said. “In New York City, African-American babies are more likely to be aborted than born and the state government has considered making assisted suicide legal. Reconciliation Begins in the Womb

If MLK could tweet at memorial

“Where peripherals collide, convergence is imminent.” Evangelist Alveda C. King

In the ongoing Movement to promote racial healing in America, there are unified nationwide efforts growing among spiritual, community and civil rights activists; most recently with some activities converging around the Anniversary of the Assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

There is the upcoming April 3, 2017 kickoff of a Year-Long Campaign beginning on the Eve of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. Assassination Anniversary with a goal of creating “National Awareness of a Government Apology for Slavery and Institutional Discrimination” to culminate by the 50th Anniversary of MLK’s death next year.

Also, on March 19, 2017, yours truly joined a “Celebration of Unity” live streaming racial reconciliation rally hosted by The Free Church in Atlanta, GA. The response was positively overwhelming to say the least. It would appear that we are on the road to true Acts 17:26 racial reconciliation.

“In 2008, Congress made history by officially apologizing for chattel slavery in the United States and the subsequent Jim Crowism that plagued black people after emancipation. Everyone knew about the poor treatment, but few know about the rare act of contrition by our government and its intention to heal our nation,” said community activist Ted Hayes, a key organizer of the Day of Love and Reconciliation for Healing. “In my own experience, people knowing that this apology happened goes a long way in changing the minds of people holding negative opinions about America because of its treatment of the black community.”

The initial “Day of Love and Reconciliation for Healing” will be promoted by talk radio hosts of all political leanings drawing attention to H.R. 194 (110th); a resolution passed by the U.S. House of Representatives on July 29, 2008 that “apologize[d] to African Americans on behalf of the people of the United States, for the wrongs committed against them and their ancestors who suffered under slavery and Jim Crow” and “express[ed] its commitment to rectify the lingering consequences of the misdeeds committed against African Americans under slavery and Jim Crow and to stop the occurrence of human rights violations in the future.” A similar resolution was passed by the U.S. Senate almost a year later.

This congressional apology for slavery and Jim Crowism constitutes one of only a handful of times the U.S. government formally apologized for past actions.

A goal of the 3/3 project is that talk radio hosts and their audiences will read on the air and discuss the content and the meaning of the congressional apology for slavery.

Talk radio hosts interested in participating in the April 3 Day of Love and Reconciliation For Healing, or participating at a later date, are encouraged to contact Ted Hayes via [email protected]

“We must learn to live together as brothers [and sisters] or perish together as fools.” Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

On an endnote, speaking as Director of Civil Rights for the Unborn with Priests for Life, my co-host Emmanuel Boose of Changing Your Community Radio Show and I will be participating in the reconciliation effort.

We also affirm that one can only long for the day Congress will acknowledge the “One Blood, One Human Race” of Acts 17:26 and apologize for the atrocities suffered society from the ongoing scourge of abortion and its by products. Our shared hope is that someday there will be more legislation, museums and memorials dedicated to the weakest unseen victims of legal oppression: the 60 million victims of legal abortion, and their mothers and families. No more auction blocks, no more instruments used to dismember and decapitate innocent unborn children; no more shackles, no more bags marked “medical waste” where babies are thrown after being terminated.

Let’s pray for a brighter day for all life, for liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all. Pray for America.
