"But he himself insisted, I am the man" (John 9:9).

In this text, we discover that Jesus has healed a man who was born blind. He spit on the ground and made some mud with saliva and put some on the man's eyes. He then told the man to go and wash in the Pool of Siloam. The man did just as Jesus told him and he came away seeing.

"I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances" (Philippians 4:11).

If you're trying to obtain peace in your current situation, our text for today should serve as a tremendous help. We discover that Paul is writing to the church at Philippi to express his thanks for the gifts they sent to him. However, in spite of their generosity, he takes time to inform them that although he appreciates their gifts, he's not ultimately dependent upon them. He can make this declaration because he understands that his ultimate dependence is on God through Jesus Christ.

"No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"
(1 Corinthians 2:9).

It's time to start seeing things with the "spiritual" eye instead of the "natural." If you haven't already, you need to make it a point to start living in the Spirit.

"And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?"
(Esther 4:14).

In our text for today, we discover that God's people are in exile. While in exile a plot is made by Haman, a Persian nobleman, to get rid of all the Jews. Mordecai, a Jew, refused to kneel down and honor Haman and now Haman has decided to take things out on the Jews.
