Cam Newton is doing it: Not doing it.
The star Panthers quarterback and prolific hat wearer is testing himself far away from the football field this month, punting away any, um, bodily pleasure for March.
Newton is electing to sack himself daily, unveiling his plan for 31 days without scoring.
“March — I hope this is an adult crowd, it looks like it is — no climax,” Newton said on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” on Wednesday night.
There is a justification for Newton’s self-imposed benching, however iffy the science behind it is. The 29-year-old is coming off right shoulder surgery that cost him the final two games of 2018, a trying year for the 7-9 Panthers. Newton wants to return stronger, and not just physically.
