Many Young People in America Choose to Vote for Life

A young pro-life leader says abortion rights supporters have good reason to worry about millennials and their views about abortion and the sanctity of life.

Holly Thomas, a London-based writer, suggests in an Oct. 9 op-ed for CNN.com that “reproductive rights” are in jeopardy in the midterm elections and urges young voters to vote to protect them.

“I think she might get a different result than she intended,” responds Kristi Hamrick of Students for Life of America, which boasts pro-life chapters on more than 1,200 campuses in all 50 states.

That is because millennials and so-called Generation Z identify as more pro-life than their parents.

“There’s a lot of interest in the abortion issue,” Hamrick tells OneNewsNow, “as the human rights issue of our day.”
