DALLAS, TX – Fresh off the release of her new single, “I Do,” inspirational artist Candi Bleu is being featured in The Rhythmic Lounge magazine.
Rhythmic Lounge, a magazine that features up-and-coming musicians, artists, and entertainers, explores Candi Bleu’s history, being raised in Baltimore and getting her start in a “small Methodist church.” Bleu was a part of a group that won in a competition at the 2014 Gospel Superfest. In 2017, she co-led a song with Brian Cook & Power Nation, which landed at #22 on Billboard’s Gospel Music Charts. By that time, Bleu’s first solo single, “Cleanse Me,” had been featured on the National Bible App.
“I was shocked and grateful for that opportunity,” Bleu told the magazine. “Answering God’s call to step into the role as a solo artist has been my biggest career accomplishment so far.”
Bleu’s new single, “I Do,” articulates her feelings about a moment when the realization of continuing down life’s road alone was no longer an option. She says she learned to surrender her life, career, identity, marriage, and family to God’s unchanging plan by accepting “God’s marriage proposal” with her melodic response and making the vow to surrender herself to God. The listener will hear the sweet harmonies of peace that come with executing God’s plan for one’s life.
Through “I Do,” Bleu wants to inspire audiences to understand that God’s plan for their lives will move them toward fulfillment and everlasting peace. She hopes the song invokes God’s presence by standing in belief of Jeremiah 3:14 in the Bible, which reads, “Turn, O backsliding children, saith the Lord; for I am married unto you…”
