One person is dead and four are injured after a stabbing attack in Paris, France. A knife-wielding man attacked several people near the city’s famous opera house. He was later shot dead by police.
Two of those wounded have severe injuries.
The suspect has not been identified, nor his identity made known. As police attempted to neutralize him, he ran toward them, reportedly yelling, “Kill me or I’ll kill you.”
On Twitter, the France’s Interior Minister, Gérard Collomb, saluted the “responsiveness of the police forces that have neutralized the assailant.”
