She nailed it: Simone ended up making a dazzling cheerleading debut on Sunday and fit right in with the rest of the cheer squad

Simone Biles clapped back at people who criticized her hair after she shared a photo of herself training to cheer on the Houston Texans.

The quadruple Olympic gold medal winning gymnast, 20, took to Twitter recently to share the snap, in which she can be seen posing in a Texans sweater and holding her pom-poms, flashing a bright smile at the camera, with her hair down.

Right after posting the photo, Simone explained that the picture was taken after she practiced for four hours with her locks in a bun, and even added: ‘Excuse my hair’ next to a grinning emoji.

Yet, several Twitter users took it upon themselves to criticize the gymnast for the state of her hair, with some offering her unsolicited advice on how to fix it.

‘I really cringe when I see a pretty black girl with her hair not laid to some degree [sic], someone wrote in response to the gymnast’s tweet.

Another person chimed in: ‘She need to just op for a whole lace wig. Won’t have to worry about that extraness.’

One Twitter user told Simone about her hair: ‘You should’ve kept it in a bun,’ while someone else wrote: ‘this hair… father God’.

‘Please get someone to do ur hair. PRETTY PLEASE…’ another person added.

The comments, however, did little to faze Simone, who replied to her critics later on in a new tweet.

‘This young sister is out here winning medals, setting a great example for young women, and staying humble. But ya’ll out here clowning her edges? Come on now,’ one person wrote.

‘So proud of you Simone. Just know there are more of us that see you for you than the hating trolls.’

‘Your hair looks just fine!!! Just keep being you and be the best you can be out there!!!’ someone else added. ‘You’re already an Olympic champion!!! You have plenty to be proud of-this is just the icing on the cake.’

Simone ended up making a dazzling cheerleading debut on Sunday and fit right in with the rest of the cheer squad.

She looked fantastic in her uniform and appeared to have a blast cheering on her home team—even though the Texans ended up losing to the San Francisco 49ers.
