It’s the time of year for celebration of all that’s good, and the flavor of the month is giving.

At 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 18, Destiny World Outreach Center at 101 N. W.S. Young Drive in Killeen will once again “Feed the 5,000,” an event the church did last year.

There is no sign-up or registration required to receive one of the 5,000 packages of groceries.

There is no need to leave the comfort of your vehicle either — Feed the 5,000 is a drive-thru event, officials said.

Each package will include fresh farmers market produce and groceries.

Residents of Killeen, Copperas Cove and Harker Heights, are welcome at the event, according to the church.

“We just want to show our fellow man some love. We want the community to know we care for them and we want to help,” said Pastor Chad Rowe. “Make sure you make your way out, you won’t be disappointed.”
