Anyone with newborn twins will tell you it’s difficult to keep up appearances.
And it would appear that George Clooney is no different – as these pictures show the Hollywood star looking exhausted during a daytime stroll with his wife Amal.
The 56-year-old actor and his 39-year-old barrister wife were spotted wearing tennis gear and holding hands as they went for a walk near their home in Lake Como, Italy.
While Clooney looked a bit tired – understandable given the newborns – his wife appeared radiant as she showed off her stunning figure in a black tank top and tennis skirt.
The glamorous brunette displayed her long legs in the thigh-skimming ensemble, which she set off with a visor and a pair of white trainers.
It seems the pair are still managing to fit in some quality time without the children – last week they were spotted arriving at Italian restaurant Il Gatto Nero where they enjoyed a two-hour meal and the stunning lake views.
Amal and George arrived in the Italian hotspot earlier this month with their newborn twins.
The trip marks their first ever family holiday, and the lovebirds have been spotted enjoying a number of dinners by the water.
Amal’s mother Baria also joined them for the getaway – having recently gushed of her newborn grandchildren to People magazine.
Reflecting on the birth, she said excitedly: ‘Seeing these two angels, these stunningly beautiful babies cuddled together…
‘And seeing the joy on Amal and George’s faces, it’s one of those deeply felt beautiful feelings you can’t express in words.’
The Clooneys announced the birth of their twins, Ella and Alexander, back in June this year.
Amal, 39, is understood to have given birth at a London hospital with her husband by her side.
However the family trip to Lake Como, where George has owned a home for several years, comes as it’s been reported that the family may be moving out of their stunning £20 million property in Sonning-On-Thames, Berkshire.
Following the birth of their children, the star has been increasingly worried about the level of security in their homes, according to Life&Style.
A source told the publication that George had received threats in the past, whilst he was concerned that his wife’s work as an international human rights lawyer could make her a target.
‘He doesn’t feel like Amal and the twins are safe living in the English countryside,’ the insider explained.
‘As soon as Amal found out she was pregnant, he hired former Secret Service agents to assess all his properties and make recommendations for improvement.’
They claimed the star’s mansion in Studio City, California was the most secure, as they added: ‘He’s waited so long for this family, he’ll do whatever it takes to keep them safe.’
George wed Amal in 2014, and bought their sprawling £7.5 million home in the English countryside later that year.
