Multi-Ethnic Church Leader Mark DeYmaz, Wife Linda Ask For Prayer After Oldest Daughter Goes Missing

Mark DeYmaz is a key voice in the multi-ethnic church conversation. He and his wife Linda are in need of prayer. Below are two notes Mark posted on Facebook. As you can imagine if you are a parent, Mark and Linda are very concerned about their daughter Emily. Please pause and pray right now for Emily and her safety.

Mark’s notes are below.

Dear friends and family, particularly those of you here in Central Arkansas.

As some of you may know, our daughter, Emily, 24, left Little Rock yesterday at approximately 11a CST. She left her phone behind. Since then, none of us – family, friends, co-workers, or general acquaintances – have seen or heard from her.

Late last night, we filed a missing persons report with the Little Rock Police Department; and two hours ago, a missing persons flyer with her picture and pertinent information was posted to their Facebook page.

Here’s what else we know at this time.

At approximately 10:45a this morning Emily was seen leaving Lake Catherine State Park in Hot Springs, where she spent the night. A man is believed to have left the park with her. Based on what we observed in the room, there seems to have been no foul play; and eyewitness accounts suggest Emily was under no duress during her stay. Such information is giving us hope.

Since 10:45a, however, she has not again been seen by anyone, nor has her car been spotted.

Any information that you may have, or more specifically any assistance you can offer in helping to identify the man who might be with her, would be most welcomed and helpful.

We so greatly appreciate the responsiveness, professionalism, and support of Detective Hilegman and the entire LRPD, as well as the Garland County Sheriff’s Office and City of Hot Springs Police Department, who are also engaged in the search for our daughter.

Until she is found we will continue our own efforts to find her, and pray fervently for her safe return.

Emily DeYmaz, if you see this post, please contact us to let us know you’re safe; or better yet, come home to so many who love you desperately and believe in you more…that God knows and yet has plans for you, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future, “Jeremiah 29:11.

Thank you, everyone, for your prayers for Emily and support of our family at this time.
