Remember that artist Matthew Fulks who tried to claim Beyoncé ripped off his 2014 short film Palinoia for her record-breaking Lemonade movie? Well, it seems as Queen Bey’s heard and she’s firing back, saying she didn’t steal his concepts, and the proof is pretty much in the pudding.
According to TMZ, the “Don’t Hurt Yourself” singer recently filed docs calling Fulks’ suit completely bogus as his film and hers are completely different on all fronts, specifically when their narratives are concerned.
In the documents, ‘Yoncé says the differences are abundantly clear, with her angle being shown from the lens of a proud Black woman. In the docs, she said it portrays “an African-American woman who progresses through stages of suspicion, denial, anger and, ultimately, reconciliation in her relationship.”
On the contrary, she says Fulks’ film is about a “white man who is distressed in the wake of a failed relationship.”
