Tina Campbell’s debut solo album, It’s Personal, has gone from being two weeks late, to two weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart.

Without a big budget, huge team or major label distribution, the GRAMMY® Award-winning Mary Mary singer is making waves.

Last week, in celebration of its chart-topping debut, the 41-year-old celebrated the accomplishment by thanking fans for their support.

Listing the knocks against the album, Tina wrote on Instagram, “Out for 5 days, only on 1 digital outlet, missed release date.”

She then pointed out that there had been “no explanation & no real release date.”

After all that, Tina highlighted that a “surprise post of its sudden release sparked fans, now It’s Personal is #1 in Gospel & #47 overall. Not so bad!”
