Rev. R.B. Holmes to Lead 1000 Pastors in Holding Prayer Service and Rally After Michael Brown’s Funeral on Tuesday
Michael Brown’s funeral is scheduled for Monday, August 25th.
The 18 year old’s death and the aftermath have been the subject of protests nationwide. But a Tallahassee pastor is calling on thousands to make a peaceful difference.
Reverend R.B. Holmes and St. Louis Pastor Jimmy Brown are planning a 1000 pastor prayer and rally the day after Michael Brown’s funeral.
“We cannot sit idly by and allow violence to take over any community it could our community or any community,” said Holmes
Holmes also says that a peaceful vigil will help ease the unrest and violence in the city of Ferguson.
“We got to tone it down, we got to take a deep breaths we got to back off we cannot let Ferguson look like Iraq. We cannot have too much military presence,” said Holmes.
The Reverend will attend Brown’s funeral the day before.
He says not only will be there to support the Brown family but also Brown Family Attorney Benjamin Crump who’s a member of Holmes’ Tallahassee church.
